Ok, here's my idea. Whenever we log on it'll show up in the character selection screen which alliance battle map is on (somewhere it'll say grenz frontier or eternan keys) that way you don't have to get on your character, go to your guild hall, and waste time checking. Then we'll know if it's a map we like or don't like right away.

It doesnt take long to map travel to your GH and check what map is on.

Just park a spare character in HzH, Cavalon, or your guild hall. If you want to AB, go to that character and check the map, or talk to the AB guy to figure out which map it's on. If you like it, swap characters and go.

But they could include something like the /favor command, e.g. /ab and it writes out which map is running

The only way I see this making any difference is if the only time you AB is when your alliance has the advantage map

. Seriously though, clicking the GH button and talking to the NPC takes all of 10 seconds.

I'm too lazy to take up 10 seconds! (though I like the idea of a command telling you which one's on)
and I only play Ab when it's a map where I can get on in about 5 seconds (Like eternan keys)
P.s: Yes I am kurzick, now can some of you luxons out there recruit so the rest of us can actually fight!

guess im going to be the first to /sign

not every person has an expensive up to date cpu and highspeed internet.

for some people it can take upwards of 5 minutes in order to swap chars and zone where they want to go. only to find out they dont want to be there.

this basic concept can be easily implemented, and gives the ability for those such people to not waste time on a loading screen or two.,,,

this is one reason why gw is loved so much, it can run on just about any cpu within the past 5 years or so, not just the hardcore machines that games like doom 3 requires..

Buttons for joinging differet PvP at your character screen is a good idea, just make it the buttons small with txt if u drag the clicker over them (aka with map that is on, who is holding halls etc).
